The most crucial thing to do is research, IMHO. First, do deep customer research. Will people purchase your offering? Then, do competitor research. Is someone already creating your product or offering your service in your target area? If so, why is it not working? If it is working, maybe this is not a great idea. I recommend going into business after being almost certain someone will buy your product or service.
Also, create a business and personal relationships network to support your journey. Being an entrepreneur is hard. Feeling alone while you do it can be devastating.
Do all of this before spending a nickel. Enjoy the ride!
